Orlando - Recap by Don VanDemark
I’m excited to announce progress on my new e-book on PhoneGap, Drupal, and jQuery Mobile! I gave an interview on using Drupal with PhoneGap to Brian Lewis at Modules Unraveled last month. In addition to the podcast, which I really enjoyed making, I recorded a screencast on setting up PhoneGap, which I hope you enjoy.
This is Case Tracker for Drupal 7. Later it must be migrated to Drupal repository.
The GeShi Filter module provides a filter for source code syntax highlighting for a wide range of languages.
Source code can be entered with for example ... or .... Automatically adding line numbers is possible too with for example [ruby linenumbers="normal"].
Modern multitier software architecture allows us to separate concerns when we are building a web application. For example, when there is a request to visualize a content item in Drupal, the request is handed off to a logical handler (module), which should be using some kind of API to read the necessary data from the database. And once it has assembled that data it should invoke the theming engine and its current theme in order for the final output to be rendered all ready to be sent back to the browser that made the request in the first place.
Here I will descripe how to provide instant messaging via a discrete jabber server in the framework Drupal. As frontend I used a bit modified version of the web based JWChat. The backend communicates with the jabber server at database level and cares about correct registrations and buddy lists.
Joe Turgeon builds websites and interactive applications. Since 2006, arithmetric marks the route of my ideas exploring new approaches to web design and production.
My work is anchored by insights into the relevance of technology for people as a source of power and a platform for creativity. I seek opportunities to design ways of doing that respond efficiently and elegantly to real-world problems.
