ImageOptim — better Save For Web

mageOptim is a free app that makes images take up less disk space and load faster, without sacrificing quality. It optimizes compression parameters, removes junk metadata and unnecessary color profiles. ImageOptim seamlessly integrates the best optimization tools: PNGOUT, Zopfli, Pngcrush, AdvPNG, extended OptiPNG, JpegOptim, jpegrescan, jpegtran, and Gifsicle. It's excellent for publishing images on the Web (easily shrinks images “Saved for Web” in Photoshop) and also useful for making Mac and iPhone/iPad applications smaller (if you configure Xcode).

LICEcap can capture an area of your desktop and save it directly to .GIF (for viewing in web browsers, etc) or .LCF (see below). LICEcap is an intuitive but flexible application (for Windows and now OSX), that is designed to be lightweight and function with high performance. LICEcap is easy to use: view a demo (output is here). In addition to .GIF, LICEcap supports its own native lossless .LCF file format, which allows for higher compression ratios than .GIF, higher quality (more than 256 colors per frame), and more accurate timestamping.

Single Image Formatter | drupal.org

This module exposes a formatter that prints one image from a multi-value image field. It will allow the same options as the original image formatter plus the possibility of choosing which image to print. Selection must be made using a positive integer where 1 will print delta 0. If the selected image image number doesn't exist, a random one will be chosen.

In short: This input filter restricts image tags in HTML content submitted by users to your site.

* This input filter finds all IMGs in a text, checks whether their src attribute is relative and points to an image under the Drupal root.
* Images satisfying that requirement are retained and left alone.
* All other images are removed.
