There’s a huge diversity of art on a variety of themes. Below is a snapshot of a selection of some entries based on a theme of Food.
The theme I chose for my entry was Thread and Surface, in which I began an exploration, in the sketchbook, of a second in my Books of the Dead series.

McDaniel imagined the piece in giant format on the Urban ReThink wall and, in particular, the reaction it might trigger in his niece. Yet, upon seeing his first Photoshopped rendering, Spath quickly dismissed its authenticity. “It’s not real.”
I was invited to become a committee member of Tech Thursday events at Urban Rethink, a progressive co-working space that emphasizes collaboration between disciplines such as art, science, technology, and community. Even though it is volunteer work, it is incredibly rewarding, as I’ve met incredible people and have been able to continue in my Nerdom.
