Coding Horror: The Future of Markdown

Mon, 11/05/2012 - 09:39 -- rprice

I propose that Stack Exchange, GitHub, Meteor, Reddit, and any other company with lots of traffic and a strategic investment in Markdown, all work together to come up with an official Markdown specification, and standard test suites to validate Markdown implementations. We've all been working at cross purposes for too long, accidentally fragmenting Markdown while popularizing it.

agile approach | Moving Forward with Open Atrium 2.0

Sat, 11/03/2012 - 11:15 -- rprice

Open Atrium 2 adds several new core concepts that make it even more flexible for your organization. First, rather than seeing a set of "tabs" for each App (Discussion, Files, Calendar, etc.) a Group Owner can create custom "Section" pages and place any combination of available "widgets" on each page. You can use the default section page layouts to recreate the OA 1.x tab pages, or you can creatively combine various elements into your own section page layouts.

Publish Content | drupal.org

Mon, 10/29/2012 - 05:57 -- rprice

enables granular publish and unpublish permissions:
* global (un/publish any content)
* per "node type" (un/publish any [nodetype] content)
* per user (un/publish own [nodetype] content
* adds a "Publish/Unpublish" tab to the node page for one-click un/publishing.
* exposes publish/unpublish links to your views, making it easy to streamline workflows for reviewers, editors and publishers.
is lightweight and always will be.

After enabling it, you just need to go to the Drupal permissions page, and set the various permissions
