all I have to say is that the new blog name is the most pretentious thing of all!!!!
It's always been tough for
It's always been tough for me. I desperately wanted the Weekly to be a paper I could enjoy every week. It's got all of the machinations to inform, empower, and entertain... And yet so much of what I have read seems shortsighted, petty, aloof, and unimaginative.
Add to that the fact that we have called, emailed, web-form-filled-outed and most other forms of communication to the Weekly, trying to get an ad placed, always with no response... I had truly begun to believe that the organization was automated, and no actual humans worked there.
I am happy to hear that you, or they, or someone, has done a 180. I'll go pick up this week's issue (Still easy, as they are still ubiquitous) and see if they have updated the formula enough to enjoy once more.

Thanks for the comments in your podcast. It's always nice to know that someone is paying attention, whether they like us or not. You pretty much nailed what it is we are trying to do, sometimes sucessfully, sometimes not. In any case I'd be happy to do an interview about the Weekly. Just drop me a line.
