Not Just Drupal Training but "Almost" a Video Production Company | Drupalize.Me
It is a lot of work making tutorials for Drupalize.Me and keeping our production quality high. Why do we do it? For many reasons: 1) we love our jobs, 2) we love Drupal, and 3) most importantly, we understand our members pay for quality and we want to deliver. We are constantly reviewing this process and coming up with ideas of how we can improve our quality and efficiency. The process above is never set in stone—it is a guide—and that guide is used to see how and where we can make even better tutorials for our members.

Automate Drupal deployments with Linux Containers, Docker and Vagrant | DrupalCon Prague 2013
The problem(s) of Full virtual servers: - Consume another layer of system memory. - IO is slower than the actual real system and makes Drupal sluggish to respond. - Are very complex to configure. - Drupal needs faster automated deployments solutions. - Costumers need full shell access, with services admin. The proposed solution: - Linux containers with vagrant & docker automatic deployments.
Greg Dunlap on structure and power in the Drupal community
just be the people who build Drupal and let the rest go by the wayside? We have spent the vast majority of our time together largely operating under that last banner, but that doesn’t mean that we have no shared values. It just means that they largely go unstated. Which is funny because I think if I were to take a poll of the people reading this, we’d find that on a lot of these social and organizational issues our heads are pretty well aligned. Here are some examples. Do you think the diversity of our community is important?
Right Service at the Right Time (RS/RT) | Urban Libraries Council
The RS/RT project provides a “create once, serve many” option that also provides the user with a level of privacy that generally face-to-face reference interviews cannot. The product was designed from a user’s stand point. Understanding that many service seekers have little experience with technology, we designed a clean and simple interface, requiring only a few actions to progress to the next step. We worked with a 4th grade reading level and provided 3 language options (English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole).
Visual Dimensions
This monthly vodcast series gives you an opportunity to participate in an open conversation with industry experts about the latest strategies and tools for developing visualizations and interactive experiences! Our first vodcast, on February 20th, will be co-hosted by NASA’s visualization expert, Robert Simmon who will discuss best practices for creating visualizations for NASA’s Earth Observatory. From use of color, to image choice, to use of symbols in mapping, Rob will take us through his tried and tested process for visually communicating data about our world.
Registry Rebuild | Drupal.org
There are times in Drupal 7 when the registry gets hopelessly hosed and you need to rebuild the registry (a list of PHP classes and the files they go with). Sometimes, though, you can't do this regular cache-clear activity because some class is required when the system is trying to bootstrap
Calendars for All Occasions - my 2013 Florida DrupalCamp talk
Back in April we had our 5th Florida DrupalCamp, which was a really awesome event organized by a huge team of volunteers. I had a talk about putting Calendar information in Drupal, which is kind of my thing.
I actually started with some Q&A, which is a Tummeler's way of doing it. I tried to speak to a pretty low common denominator, and I really appreciate that someone was able to record and upload these.
