There are 800,000 sheet music titles available to sighted musicians. There are only about 20,000 available as braille to blind musicians (a fraction of 1%). These stretch goals describe how we can more than double that number with this project!

On Having a Google TV

Thu, 08/09/2012 - 01:17 -- rprice

I am an Android guy. After owning a Nokia N96 and an iPod touch at the same time, upgrading to the HTC EVO was like the best of both worlds. Always-on connection plus awesome music and podcasting client. In order to test out web pages I also purchased a Toshiba Thrive 10". Last but not least, since I develop web pages to be viewed on televisions, I thought a Sony Google TV box would round out my Android collection nicely. At this point, I don't really use the Google Play Books or Movies all that much.

Call it Generation Sell.

In Silicon Valley, Hardware Is Hot Again - Businessweek

Mon, 07/16/2012 - 09:20 -- rprice

It’s become much less painful to build gadgets, even for the little guy. Marc Barros, a co-founder of camera maker Contour, says retailers like Best Buy (BBY) might eat up $70 on a $200 device. In the age of social media and e-commerce, he can sell directly to consumers. If professional investors won’t risk their money on a hardware startup, entrepreneurs can turn to Kickstarter or another crowdfunding site and walk away with millions.
