Fringe Discussion Drama
Michael Black, a blogger/webmaster with over a decade of history writing about Montreal Fringe online has decided to lay a verbal smackdown on us at BloggingFringe.com - and I respond in a big way.

So many things happened while I was "away", or rather, while I was at Fringe. Here are some highlights:
This post originally appeared on Blogging Fringe and is in relation to that community site in particular, but I think it also applies to any community-driven site I will ever try to build.
OK, so I realised some time today that I alone cannot make all the videos, take all the pictures, do all the blog posts I want to do AND update the MySpace AND write reviews - I think I have 4 or more reviews I want to do, and they might never get the level of attention I think they deserve.
Let me start off by saying that it is so utterly amazing that Central Florida has groups with funding who can do stuff like this, and we wouldn't be where we are now without CFACA and UA. Love ya, mean it.
I've had my Joost invite since the days before there was a Mac version, but I've only just got the damn thing running on my MacBook Pro just now... and it crashed!
I just finished thumbing through this week's edition of the Orlando Sentinel, and I've noticed a glaring omission: the Digg.com HD-DVD story. The New York Times didn't miss it, not by a longshot. The content is easily enough syndicated from them or the AP. Hell, this week's TWiT has "The Code" as the title of their show!
What I love about Indie Bands is their packaging. Check out Jenny K. Surrounded By Wolves
Here in Orlando we have some very playful and active hipsters. A little over 2 years ago they started getting together in the parking lot of the hippest place in town, the Stardust Video & Coffee house. The parking lot turns into a flea-market / craft show atmosphere, with live music in one corner, a gigantic rummage sale, designer haircuts, short shorts and brightly-colored outfits.
I recently made a post over at Florida Creatives about my booth and making buttons.
EDIT: I jumped the gun. If you read Josh's post, you'll know this is a "penciled in" date.
Chances are if you participate in Social Media (especially in Orlando), you have heard of Josh Hallet. Or read a blog he consulted for, designed, even influenced in some way. Last year Josh put together a fantastic UnConference called BlogOrlando. Rollins College was a great space for this event, with two rooms and tons of useful sessions. This year will only be bigger and better from what I understand.
Ryan Price with a Beard gives a shout out to Loren Feldman from 1938Media.com and a handful of people on my personal A-List.
